Palantir Foundry available at AWS

A few weeks ago Palantir announced their partnership with AWS, making their Foundry product available for much larger consumption.

Palantir FoundryPalantir Foundry empowers critical institutions of varying technical maturity to harness data throughout their operations and power their most critical decisions. Foundry provides seamless data management, analysis, and operational workflows atop a secure, extensible platform.

… and there are at least 20 customers who are testing out the product, according to AWS. There is a great potential for them to expand to the private sector, be leveraging this partnership. Palantir is really just starting out their PR and marketing to attract a different segment of customers. 45 billion valuation isn’t that crazy compared to some other tech companies, and the growth potential is there. We’re always hearing about new developments, partnerships and contracts. If it was completely stagnant company with nothing exciting to show, then maybe there would be room for concern… But feels like there’s a lot of action in the company.

Also these 20 customers, who are they? I don’t think we’ve heard anything specific. I don’t think you could just enable “Foundry” on your AWS account. Maybe they will all abandon the product or maybe two will convert to paying customers. Too much potential and momentum to sit on the sidelines.
